Beirut Bound Terms & Conditions

Conditions are subject to change.

 

Definitions

The following definitions have the same meaning whether they are singular or plural.

 

Welcome to the Beirutbound.com and Beirutbound.com.au website (the “Website”). This Website is operated by Beirut Bound PTY LTD, ACN 635 381 270, an Australian Company. This Website is provided solely to assist customers in gathering travel information, determining the availability of travel-related goods and services, making legitimate bookings (whether through the Website or through a phone call) or otherwise transacting business with travel suppliers, and for no other purpose (together the “Services”). The terms “we”, “us”, “our”, “Beirut Bound” and “Beirut Bound Pty Ltd” refer to Beirut Bound Pty Ltd. Service/s refers to any or all of the services offered by Beirut Bound. The term “you”, “your” and “Customer/s”  refers to any person visiting the Website and using or seeking to use any of the Services. Representative Customer means the Customer who makes a booking for themselves and/or on behalf of others under the same booking. These General Terms and Conditions for Booking (the Beirut Bound Terms &Conditions) set out the terms on which Beirut Bound agrees to make available the Services to you. The Services made available by Beirut Bound can only be used by Customers who have first read these Terms and Conditions and accepted them unconditionally by clicking on the appropriate box provided for the purpose. It is not possible to proceed with the booking process without this acceptance. Customers undertake to fulfil the obligations contained within these General Terms and Conditions. The agreement between Customers and Beirut Bound begins as soon as Beirut Bound provides an invoice of a booking to Customer. Customers should save and/or print a copy of these General Terms and Conditions for future reference when making a booking.

 

  1. OUR CONTRACT

 

All bookings are made with Beirut Bound Pty Ltd (ACN 635 381 270). By booking with us, you have agreed to the Terms and Conditions, which consists of the agreement between you and us and your booking will be accepted by us on this basis. The services to be provided are those referred to in your booking confirmation quote and/or invoice.

 

  1. AGREEMENT

 

Once the Customer has completed a Book Now form and agreed to the Terms and Conditions, a verbal and/or written agreement will ensue. Once an agreement has been made, a quote will be sent via e-mail based on this agreement. The quote will only be valid for 7 days and is subject to change depending on Travel Suppliers. The quote is a package deal and if any item from the package is removed, then the pricing changes. The quote includes Beirut Bound Travel Concierge charges. This may be embedded in the travel supplier costs and there may be an additional separate charge, defined as “Travel Concierge Booking” Services and/or “Reach Out Anytime” Services. Once the quote is accepted, an invoice will follow via e-mail. The invoice must be paid for within 14 days.

 

  1. REPRESENTATIVE CUSTOMER

 

If you are the Representative Customer and you book on behalf of another person or persons, you will be the designated contact person for every person included on that booking. By making the booking on their behalf you warrant you have the authority of the other person and Beirut Bound relies upon this.  This means that you are responsible for obtaining all required consents of other person or persons, for ensuring they are all informed, and for making all required payments.

You are responsible for verifying that any information you provide on behalf of another participant is complete and accurate and that Beirut Bound will under no circumstances be liable for any errors or omissions in the information provided to complete a booking.

 

  1. DEPOSITS

 

You are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $250 per person per trip for your booking to be confirmed. This deposit confirms your travel arrangements and that you have read, understand and agree to our Terms and Conditions.

 

  1. AMENDMENTS

 

If you’d like to amend your booking after confirmation, we charge an amendment fee of 25 AUD per amendment to cover costs. Additional costs or cancellation fees may also apply depending on the Travel Suppliers, the nature of the change and seasonal price adjustments.

 

  1. FINAL PAYMENT

 

Complete payment is due 7 days prior to departure.

 

  1. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

 

Cancellations will incur the below fees per person (in addition to any Travel Supplier cancellation penalties):

  • Once the booking is confirmed: Full refund minus deposit.
  • Prior to 30 days: Full refund minus deposit.
  • Within 30 days: Up to 50% of total cost.
  • After departure: No Refund for any unused Service/s

Cancellation fees are subject to change so please check again when booking.

 

  1. DISCLAIMER

 

Beirut Bound coordinates services using independent Service Providers. These companies have their own terms and conditions, and are subject to the laws of the country or region where the services are provided. Beirut Bound does not own, manage or operate any transportation, vehicle, hotel, restaurant or any other supplier of services. All services we provide are subject to the terms, conditions and limitations of liability imposed by our contractors. We exclude all liability for loss or damage that may arise from the actions of Service Providers or their agents. We do not accept liability or any claim for compensation for any damage, loss, injury, delays, cancellations, additional expenses or inconvenience caused by any events that are outside our control. The Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales. It is necessary to contact Beirut Bound immediately if any issue arises during your trip, so that we can resolve the issue with the relevant supplier. If this isn’t possible and you wish to lodge a complaint, please write to us within 30 days of your return with copies of supporting documentation.

 

  1. TRAVEL INSURANCE

 

Beirut Bound recommends that all travellers purchase Comprehensive Travel insurance that covers the full duration of their trip.

 

  1. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

 

All travellers are required to be aware of the documentation needed for travel, including passport, visa and health requirements. You are responsible for all entry, exit, health laws, regulations, orders, demands or requirements of countries visited or transited. Passport and visa requirements are the responsibility of the traveller or your Travel Concierge can assist you in obtaining any documentation you need. You can access official travel advice issued by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade by calling 1300 555 35 or visiting www.dfat.gov.au We recommend you review this information before you place your booking and prior to your departure.

 

  1. MEDICAL INFORMATION

 

It is your duty as Representative Customer to notify Beirut Bound, at the time of the booking, if you or others on your trip have any pre-existing medical conditions that may impact your or their ability to travel, participate in a tour, or if it will affect others on any of the group tours.

 

  1. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

You are required to disclose any special requirements to Beirut Bound at the time of the booking. It is your duty as Representative Customer to notify Beirut Bound if any persons on your trip have any special requirements. This may be a dietary, health, or any other requirement. Beirut Bound will attempt to cater to any and all special requirements, but this may not always be possible due to the nature of the tour or the limited options available at some destinations. Certain activities may not be accessible depending on your requirements. You must notify Beirut Bound of all food allergies and dietary restrictions at the time of the booking, but Beirut Bound cannot insure that these requirements can be catered to. Special requests and requirements are not included in the Terms and Conditions or the contract between you and Beirut Bound, therefore Beirut Bound is not liable for not meeting these requests.

 

  1. AGE REQUIREMENTS

 

A minor is anyone who is under the age of 18 on the date of first travel. Minors must always be accompanied by an adult. The accompanying adult responsible for the minor is expected to provide all consents required by applicable law, as well as documentation and they are to ensure that they and the minor(s) meet all legal requirements to travel, to enter into and depart from applicable countries and regions. Beirut Bound will not be responsible for any fees, damages, or losses incurred as a result of any failure to secure necessary consents, permits, and approvals. Adults responsible for a minor or minor(s) on a trip are responsible for the behaviour, wellbeing and supervision of these minor(s). These adults accept these Terms and Conditions for and on behalf of any minor(s) on their booking, including all assumptions of risk and limitations of liability. Beirut Bound does not provide care services for minors and expressly disclaims any responsibility for chaperoning or controlling any minor(s).

 

  1. SUPPLIER INFORMATION

 

Suppliers provide Beirut Bound with information, photographs and maps of their services. All descriptions of services by Beirut Bound are based on these descriptions supplied. Changes to services described can occur at any time. Photos and maps don’t always reflect actual locations and services. You may not occupy the hotel room shown in photographs.

 

  1. NEWSLETTER

 

By subscribing to our newsletter and/or sending an enquiry you agree to receive marketing communications from us. The aim of our newsletter service is to keep our customers and visitors updated about promos and new information about our company. The subscription is not mandatory and you can choose the opt-out function or call us and let us know.

 

  1. CREDIT CARD MERCHANT FEES

 

Credit Card merchant service fees are applicable when the Customer makes purchases with Visa, MasterCard, American Express and/or Diners.
